Welcome to the BOWLES OUTDOORS Custom tackle store! We specialize in hand-crafted flies and jigs, designed in IDAHO for the all anglers. Our online shop offers quality fishing tackle designed to catch fish, not fishermen.
These flies are a smaller profile than most hoochies and other lures. I feel my flies more closely matches the shrimp and food kokanee eat. Each double hook fly is tied on 36 inch leaders and #4 Gamakatsu dropshot/splitshot hooks. The main body is either Pink Glow, Yellow Glow or Orange Glow. I add a few strands of flash to each fly for added attraction. Flies are tied long giving you the ability to customize length.
Crappie Jigs
Hand tied 1/16 oz bucktail crappie jigs. Fished under a bobber, or cast and retrieved these jigs catch those big slab crappie as well as perch, blegill, trout and other fish. Varity of colors available Purple and chartrues on white head. Red and white on red head. Been told they show well on livescope.
Steelhead jigs
Hand tied in several fish catching colors. Tip with shrimp or run bare. great for those bigger trout too.

What kind of fishing experiences are your flies and jigs best suited for?
Our lures are designed for multi-species and will catch multiple types of fish. Although a Kokanee Fly may be designed for trolling, it will also catch fish on the end of a fly rod or tossed with split shot for rivers and streams. We love to hear what, where, and how you've used our lures

As a Multi species angler I look for designs and creative ideas that will lend itself to multiple uses. We always love hearing new ideas on fishing our lures.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we only ship within the United States.

We use a variety of high-quality materials, including premium hooks, durable threads, and vibrant, fish-attracting materials for our flies and jigs. Each lure is hand-tied and inspected for quality.
Are there any tips for beginners using your tackle?
Start with our multi-species lures and experiment with different retrieves and depths. Don't hesitate to contact us with photos, and we will give you tips.
